The LCSO is deeply committed to children and youth. We believe the work we do in concerts for grade schoolers is some of the most vital work we do. This year we will bring “An American Salute” from our 2018 July patriotic event to the kids we serve in Lake County. They will see and hear the orchestra celebrate the words of our founding fathers in a unique and powerful way – featuring “Lincoln Portrait” by Aaron Copland, “Armed Forces Salute”, and the history of the American penny, just to name a few highlights. Kids will also get an up close first hand look at what it means to be in an orchestra.
